出生並成長在中國大陸山東省，先後獲得農學學士、碩士和博士學位。曾在一所大學任副教授。1998年底到以色列做博士後研究期間，蒙主揀選，受洗成為基督徒。2001年秋到美國加州大學戴衛斯分校繼續從事分子生物學研究工作。2009年秋天回應神的呼召，全時間進入海外神學院就讀。2012年夏天獲得道學碩士學位。隨後被神引領到教會做牧養工作至今。志願過聖潔的生活。與太太郭洪雲生有2個女兒。
Lianhai Fu was born and grown up in Shandong Province of China, and attained his bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, and Ph.D. in Agriculture. He was an associate professor in a university. He came to the Lord in 1999 when he was doing his postdoctoral research in Israel. In 2001, he came to UC Davis to conduct research in molecular biology. Then he obeyed the call from God and began his full time study at Overseas Theological Seminary in 2009, earned a Master of Divinity Degree in 2012 and began his church ministry immediately after graduation. He and his wife, Hannah, gave birth to 2 daughters.
