We are glad you are here this morning to worship God together with us! This morning we’re continuing through the season of Advent, the season of waiting and preparation for the celebration of Christmas.  We pray that during these weeks you would be reminded of God’s extravagant love in entering into this world to rescue us!

Announcements

1.New Sunday School Quarter: We will be starting a new Sunday School Quarter today. See above for information on Sunday School Classes. For more information, please see Daniel Chen (dantchen83@sbcglobal.net).

2.Christmas Musical: We’ll be having our Christmas children musical show, “Isaiah Jones And The Seekers of The Lost Christmas Treasure”, on Saturday December 12 at 7pm at church.  Please invite non-Christian family members and friends to join. Please also pray for all the actors, actresses and coworkers involved in the performance.

3.Christmas Drive: Saltshakers is partnering with Sacred Heart to help provide aid for Bay Area Teens and Children. If you would like to help contribute, please visit the Christmas Tree and pick up a tag. The deadline to contribute is Sunday (12/13). For more information, please contact Daniel Chen (dantchen83@sbcglobal.net) and/or Erika Huang (erikahuang0117@gmail.com).

4.Food Donation (Barrels): We are also accepting canned food donations on behalf of CityTeam Ministries to serve and help those in need during this holiday season. We are accepting food donations for the entire month of December.

5.Short-Term Missions Pre-Registration: If you are interested in joining the 2016 short-term missions, please fill out the short-term mission pre-registration form inserted in the Sunday bulletin.  Please leave the pre-registration form in the offering box or give it to Edward Lee by 1/31. For more information, please contact Edward Lee.

6.Inheritance Magazine: This month’s issue of Inheritance magazine is now available! The theme for this month is, “Blind Spots.” Inheritance is a monthly magazine that focuses on how Christian faith interacts with Asian and American cultures.

7.Community Groups: Our small group fellowship meets every Saturday morning (10 am – 12 pm) and Sunday afternoons (4-6 pm) for sharing, praying as well as sermon application. Please contact either Pastor Joey or Kenny for more information.

8.Saltshakers: We will be attending the Christmas Children Musical this coming Saturday (12/12), 7pm at the Church Sanctuary. For more information, please contact Daniel Chen (dantchen83@sbcglobal.net) or Brian Huang (brian0521@sbcglobal.net).

Prayer Requests & Praises      

1.Pray for our church plant in Palo Alto. Pray for the core team (Elder Steve Cheng, Henry Chien, Edward Chien and Sammy Hu) as they have their first worship service this morning in Palo Alto. Pray that the Gospel would be preached and God would be glorified in this church plant!

2.Pray for our Children’s Christmas Musical Performance on Sat (12/12) evening. Pray for all the children and adult leaders and coordinators involved. Pray that Jesus would be glorified through the musical!

3.Pray for our upcoming College Students Retreat (12/27-29) and Winter Youth Retreat (2/12-15). Pray for the planning, coordination, and preparations involved. Pray also for more volunteers to help out. Ultimately, pray that through these retreats our students would grow closer to God and one another.
